# Fret Not

> Fret Not is a free iOS guitar songbook app for beginners. It tracks every song you've learned — chords, capo positions, strumming patterns, and tuning — so you never forget how to play them.

Fret Not was built by Alexa Kaminsky, a product designer learning to play guitar. The first version was built in one week using Claude Code, and the app launched in December 2025. It is available on iPhone and iPad (iOS 17 or later), is completely free, and contains no ads or in-app purchases.
